You have a team member, Alex, who’s become quite complacent lately and has been underperforming compared to the rest of the team - who are massively under the pump.

You’ve approached Alex about it a couple times before, but Alex always seems to blame someone else for their performance. Previous conversations have indicated that there isn’t a lot of merit to this blame - Alex is experiencing the same challenges the whole team does and could actually do more to take ownership of outcomes.
